Finance systems that actually close on time
We implement and fix EPM platforms and reporting systems for finance teams across Europe. Based in Zurich. Focused entirely on the numbers side of the house.
EPM and analytics, without the implementation theatre
Finance teams contact us when a planning or consolidation system is not delivering what was promised. The platform is usually capable, the configuration just never matched how the finance team actually works. That gap is almost always fixable, and fixing it is most of what we do.
We also build new systems from scratch when there is no existing one worth salvaging. Either way, our starting point is understanding your close process, your chart of accounts, and the decisions your leadership team needs to make, then working backwards from that into the tooling.

Based in Zurich. Clients across the DACH region and Western Europe.
Most of our project work runs in a hybrid model, on-site for workshops, design sessions, and go-live support; remote for configuration, testing, and documentation cycles.
Where we work
All of our work sits at the intersection of finance processes and the systems that support them. We do not cover the full consulting landscape, we cover this part of it in depth.
EPM Remediation
An Oracle EPM or SAP BPC implementation that delivered a partial system and left finance back in spreadsheets is a pattern we know well. We assess what was built, identify the configuration gaps, and complete the work, consolidation rules, intercompany eliminations, and the close automation that was supposed to be in scope from the start.
Finance Reporting
Dashboards that do not get opened usually have the same underlying problem: metrics defined by IT, data that refreshes on a delay, and no drill path back to the transaction. We redesign the reporting layer around what the finance team actually needs to see, P&L variance, cash position, and entity-level performance on the same morning the period closes.
Data Foundation
When the same revenue figure comes out differently from three systems, the problem is almost always in the integration layer, duplicate keys, inconsistent currency conversion timing, or entities mapped differently across platforms. We trace the discrepancy, fix the pipeline, and document the data model so the issue cannot reappear undetected.
Cloud Migrations
Moving on-premise Hyperion or BW to a cloud platform requires a parallel-run period that is almost always longer than the initial estimate. We plan the migration around your actual data volumes, run validation against every legal entity before cutover, and do not call the project live until the numbers reconcile to the cent.
Forecasting Models
Statistical forecasting models that run on historical averages and ignore current signals are usually less useful than a planner's judgment. We build models that connect to live actuals, incorporate the relevant drivers, volumes, prices, FX rates, and update without manual intervention each planning cycle.
Platform Selection
Choosing between Anaplan, OneStream, and Oracle EPM Cloud is primarily a question of consolidation complexity, planning model size, and total cost of ownership over five years. We have configured all three in production environments and give you a recommendation based on your actual requirements, not the shortlist your vendor relationships suggest.
Industries Where We Have Done This Before
Sector context matters in EPM work, regulatory reporting requirements, consolidation complexity, and planning cycle structure all differ significantly by industry. The sectors below are ones where we have completed live projects, not just proposals.
How an engagement is structured
Discovery
Before writing a proposal, we need to understand the current state in enough detail to price the work accurately. That means reviewing your chart of accounts, current close calendar, existing system configuration, and the specific reporting requirements the new or remediated system needs to satisfy.
The principles behind every engagement
Deep Platform Expertise
Our consultants have implemented Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, OneStream, and Anaplan across regulated European industries. The configuration decisions that matter, allocation logic, intercompany elimination rules, currency translation, require experience that goes beyond platform certification.
Defined Scope, Fixed Price
We agree on deliverables, acceptance criteria, and cost before work begins. Scope adjustments are managed through a formal change process, not absorbed quietly into a ballooning time-and-materials invoice.
Self-Sufficient at Go-Live
System administration guides, data dictionary, and user training are built into every project plan. The goal is a finance team that can extend the system after we leave, not one that needs to call us every quarter.

What clients tell us
Most of our clients work in regulated industries and prefer not to be named publicly. We describe each by role and sector instead, and we are happy to arrange a direct reference call once an engagement is underway.
“Our OneStream environment had been sitting in a partially configured state for close to two years. The original implementation ran out of runway before consolidation rules and intercompany eliminations were finished. Alpine reconstructed the configuration logic from the original design documents and delivered a working first close in roughly six weeks. Our month-end reporting cycle dropped from eleven days to four.”
